Phonics for ages 4 to 7, from first letter sounds to whole sentences.
Buba says the sounds and the questions aloud, and the reading is left to your child: they sound each word out and put it together. Each level is a few short rounds, in the usual phonics order, and the road unlocks one level at a time.
Wrong answers cost nothing: they just get another go, and stars already earned can never be lost. Several children can share one device, each with their own animal and their own progress.
The button at the top right of the road, behind a quick sum, has the settings: small letters or capitals, the sounds your child finds hardest, the players, and a backup of everyone's progress.

Off is the default: a wrong answer costs nothing and the level cannot be lost. Turn hearts on when they want the stakes — lose them all and the level restarts with its points cleared. Stars already banked are never touched, in any setting.
Let them pick their own. Dusk is the easiest on the eye for reading in the evening.
Most schools teach lowercase first, but plenty of children learn capitals at home. Match whichever they already know.
Tap one to hear it. Every device reads this differently — the same setting that sounds right on a phone can be very slow on a fridge or a TV, so this is saved per device rather than per player.
Everything is saved in this browser only — a reset, a cleared cache or a new device wipes it with nothing to recover. A backup file is the only copy that survives, and it is also how progress moves between web addresses.
